WC7SO Test on Lookout

posted Mar 21, 2010 1:07 AM by Brian Lawler   [ updated Mar 21, 2010 1:18 AM ]

As per earlier agreement, the 146.74 repeater on LOOKOUT mountain has been turned off (still on site) and the WC7SO Whatcom County Sheriff's ACS repeater has been installed at the site for an undetermined test period.  The WC7SO repeater is a D-STAR gateway connected repeater operating on "Port C" with a 146.100 Mhz input and 146.700 output.  The system utilizes a 6 mile IP network bridge on the 9cm amateur band to connect the repeater controller on Lookout mountain to the gateway server in the city of Bellingham.

146.740 Constitution OFF THE AIR

posted Mar 9, 2010 10:26 PM by Brian Lawler   [ updated Mar 9, 2010 10:31 PM ]

The MBARC RG repeater on Orcas Island is off the air until the Repeater Group techs can make another trip over to fix it.  If you have not yet paid Repeater Group dues this would be a good time to show your support.  The 146.740 machine on Lookout is still on line (tone = 127.3).

Connie 2M Repeater Problem

Mt. Constitution 146.740 repeater

The 146.740 repeater at Mt. Constitution is suffering from some type of antenna problem. With the loss of receiver sensitivity and the transmit power below normal, we believe there to be some type of damage to our antenna. We are looking to this problem and hope to have the machine back to normal as soon as possible.
