Free FLdigi HELP! Session

Are you having trouble setting up or using amateur radio digital applications like Fldigi, Flmsg, or Winlink and others?  Here’s an opportunity to get some help.
Are you already using digital comms?  Here’s an opportunity to share your experience and help your fellow hams get on the air.

WHEN: Sunday, May 20, 2018 1300-1600
WHERE: Bellingham Makerspace (“The Foundry”), 1000 F Street, Bellingham

Bring your HF/VHF/UHF radios, cables, UDRC-Pis, Raspberry Pis, computers (Windows, Mac, Linux), Signalinks or other sound cards and we’ll try to match you with someone who has been there and done that.  We’ll tackle set up and operating problems with Fldigi and related programs, Winlink, Direwolf, UZ7HO Soundmodem, WSJT-X, and others.

LABEL ANY GEAR YOU BRING with your callsign and/or name so it goes back home with you when you leave.
If you bring your radio, BRING YOUR RADIO MANUAL.

The organizers will also bring some gear for hams to use, including working digital setups (radio/soundcard/computer) to test against.  We’ll have at least one portable V/UHF antenna set up outside for testing with remote stations and access to at least one remotely controlled station.  We’ll have a couple of 12VDC power supplies and dummy loads and antennas, but feel free to bring your own, too.

You don’t have to be a member of the Foundry to attend this event, but if you’re not a member please consider putting a few bucks in the donation jar for the use of the space.

Please forward to other hams who might be interested.
